Join 9 people your own age to get work,
get trained and get paid at the Island Quarry,
a fantastic community resource located in beautiful Byron Bay.
Get involved in the regeneration of a locally significant wetland, providing increased biodiversity on the site.
Throughout the 6 month project, you will be involved in activities such as:
– Seed collection and propagation;
– Water quality monitoring and constructed wetland development to treat waste water on site;
– Planting;
– Track work and fencing;
– Weed control; and
– Development and enhancement of a community organic market garden business.
You will also have great opportunities to develop your artistic talent through minor activities on site.
